We want creative photos, so our Grand Prize is now awarded to the MOST CREATIVE photo entered into the contest.

Anyone can win Grand Prize regardless of friends on Social Media for Most Creative photo, enter for a chance to win!

General Rules and Guidelines for Registered Users who are 18 years of age or older. (Short Version)

 

Please DO NOT sit or mount the Cow in any fashion, or utilize any elevated position for photo purposes. This will disqualify your photo due to personal/family safety reasons. There is no need to touch the cow for your photos, but if you wish to do so, you may wish to use disinfecting wipes prior to doing so. This is entirely at your own risk, and we are not promoting nor discouraging doing so.

 

Take a photo with our Cow in the parking lot at PA Dutch Farmers Market of Wyomissing - 845 Woodland Road - Wyomissing, PA 19610. Keep photos fun and interesting. Use of accessories is permissible so long as you do not permanently tape or fasten anything which may cause damage or paint to be removed from the Cow. Online Stock or Photoshop Cow images will not be approved for use in the contest, it must be our Cow. Keep photos child friendly please. Photos may not promote any personal, political, or other targeted agendas which utilize any text, photos, flags or other means of identifying your purpose or goal. Upload your photo & name you choose for the Cow.The winning Cow name and photo(s) from any of the 5 previous Name The Cow Promotions will not be allowed to enter the Contest - (2018 - Mookie) (2019 - Sunshine) (2020 - Buttercup). A brief description can also be entered to set the stage for the photo scene as long as the current Contest allows for this.

 

Share your photo with friends and family so they can vote for your photo of the Cow, and the new name for the Cow. - *Please note that voting will only begin on September 20th, 2021 for sharing purposes.

 

New rules for 2021 means anyone can win! - The Grand Prize for Most Creative photo will be hand picked by all Vendors from the entire approved photo pool after the registration period has closed. This prize will not be affected by voting in any manner. Number of friends on Social Media will NOT help you win this prize. The Grand Prize is reserved for the MOST CREATIVE photo submitted and approved for public display.

 

Watch to see if your photo appears in the Top 10 position. This list will determine the 10 entries submitted to the Market Vendors for final voting on the new name for the Cow for 2021/2022. See Complete Guidelines below for full disclosure on how winners are determined, and what happens in the event of a tie for any Prize position.

Complete Guidelines for our Name The Cow Promotion 2021 Contest

Our Name The Cow Promotion 2021 is meant for entertainment purposes only, and will be used to name our Cow that is located out in front of our building. Promotion is open to anyone over 18 years of age, with a chance to win Cash or Gift Certificate Prizes for those who enter the Contest and win a Prize.

The Promotion will be judged based first by popular vote of the general public on the names of the Cow submitted. Because there is a likelihood that there could be many submissions with the same name, the uploaded most popular photos with the most views will be used as a secondary guideline for judging purposes.

When logging in with Social logins, and/or manual entry process, be sure to use a valid email as this will be our only source to contact winners.

All users will be allowed a maximum of 1 photo in the Name The Cow Promotion 2021.

Please remember that this Contest is for entertainment purposes, and all Prize Winners will be decided upon by the general public via the voting system, except for the Grand Prize and the Winning Cow Name which will be determined by the PA Dutch Farmers Market of Wyomissing Vendors.

Should several photos in the Top 10 positions have the same number of likes, all winning positions will then be determined by the highest number of views for each of those competing photos. The Top 10 list may rotate photos in a random fashion for all photos with the same number of likes for entertainment display purposes, so winners will be decided in descending order by total views for their photo entry that has a competing number of likes from other photos. This is necessary because refreshing the page could change order of the Top 10 once again for those with identical number of likes. Should number of likes and number of views be identical, the Market Vendors will chose the winning entry from those affected as identical. Their decision is final, and non-negotiable.

Because there are 5 Prizes available, winners of any Prizes will be chosen as follows.

Please note there can only be one submission/winner per family/homestead/IP address. Anyone winning one of the top prizes not voted on by public, will forfeit any/all lower ranking prizes, and will be able to claim highest prize won. These winners, if any will theoretically be pulled from the top 10 list, and any next in line winners will move up to claim their prize if there is a prize for that position voted upon by the public.

The Grand Prize will be hand picked for MOST CREATIVE photo from the entire approved photo pool by the Market Vendors.

The Top 10 entries as determined by public vote, will then be printed out at the end of the Voting period, and submitted for judging by the Market Vendors of PA Dutch Farmers Market of Wyomissing on October 1st, 2021. The Winning Cow Name will be chosen by popular vote (the most votes) when being judged by the Market Vendors. Since there is a likelihood that duplicate names could be submitted, your submitted photos will be the tie breaking secondary judging tool. Out of the winning name that has identical entries, the most popular photo from that group will determine the final winner. All decisions are final, and at the discretion of the Market Vendors.

Once the Grand Prize Winner is chosen and the Winning Cow Name has been determined on October 1st, 2021 and theoretically pulled from the list (ignored), then the remaining Top 10 entries will be used to determine Prize winners in descending order. Should there be identical votes for more than one entry, the view count will be considered the tie breaker.

An example of this is as follows, and would continue same principle for winners until all Prizes are awarded. Remember if you refresh the Top 10 page, the photo orders could change for all photos with the same number of likes, which is why the views count will be secondary winning criteria.

Position 1. - 5 likes & 15 views - Second Prize Winner

Position 2. - 5 likes & 30 views - 1st Prize Winner

Position 3. - 3 likes & 10 views - Fourth Prize Winner

Position 4. - 3 likes & 25 views. - Third Prize Winner

This promotion will follow and adhere to all rules and/or regulations as provided on all pages available on this contest website.

Rules wording may be adjusted for clarity throughout the entire contest, but the main focus of the rules will not change. Should there be any typographical errors, we will not be responsible for this, please bring it to our attention for correction if you find anything that appears out of order.

Should you experience any issues with this website, we ask that you first try using a different mobile or desktop computing device to attempt to resolve your issues.

We will do our best to help anyone experiencing issues regarding the Contest, in as timely a manner as possible. We cannot however, alter Contest results for anyone who we were unable to help prior to the Contest closing date. For this reason, please do not wait until the last few days/hours to make your Contest Entries. Due to any issues beyond or outside of our control, the entry period and/or voting period may be terminated early, and any/all entries submitted as of that time will be used to determine the winner(s).

Although this is mainly an online Contest, anyone who wishes to enter and has no online access may still participate. You must choose and legibly write down a name for your Cow, as well as any description you wish to appear in the submission, take a physical printed photo showing your Cow photo taken on site at the Market, and send both of these along with your name, email address/phone number or other method of contact, and a self-addressed stamped envelope for return of your photo if desired to:
